HSE Manager

      Major Industrial Manufacturing business 

•      Stand alone HSE Manager role reporting to Site Director 

•      Large unionised site, requires a hands on HSE Manager 

Client Details

The client is a major industrial manufacturing business with multiple sites in Australia. The client requires a hands on HSE Manager sitting on the Leadership team.


Reporting into the Plant Director, the HSE Manager role is a senior leadership role. You will be the sole member of the HSE Team and be accountable for providing EHS leadership, advice and assistance to all employees. Working closely with the site management team, as well as the National and Global EHS teams, the role holder will manage the integration, development and implementation of standards and processes around HSE. Your focus will be on continuous improvement in Environment and Health and Safety practices and standards. You will develop best practice in safety and operations in line with the companies group strategic vision and purpose. Specifically you will:  

- Hold full control for the implementation of all HSE policies and processes 
- In conjunction with the senior team lead the implementation of all HSE policies
- Focus on risk management and corrective actions
- Create and manage a safe working culture on site ensuring the safety of staff is paramount at all times
- Develop and lead risk assessments

This role is a senior leadership position reporting into both the site and national leadership teams. 


To be successful in applying for this role you will:

- Have a Degree in an Engineering or related subject
- Have full working rights and be able to evidence a HSE Management role within a volume manufacturing site
- Have held full control over health, safety and environmental policies on a unionised site
- Hold strong influencing skills and have worked in a safety led manufacturin facility

Job Offer

 Up to $125,000 + Super
