About the role:

As a Business Advisory & Taxation Assistant Manager, you will deliver taxation and accounting services to an allocated number of corporate, family and high net worth clients.  You will be responsible to help drive the team to meet their business KPI's, deliver exceptional client experiences and reinforce business standards.

This international mid-tier accounting practice a highly respected professional service provider who are experiencing rapid growth and are searching for a driven Assistant Manager who would like to forge a long-term career.

Main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Review and prepare Tax Returns, Financial statements, Tax Compliance reports including BAS reporting and management reports
  • Provide proactive tax advice and compliance solutions and be able to communicate the strategic advice simply to clients
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly and year-end processes are completed on time
  • Manage between $600k-$800k in client fees
  • Maintain quality control and accuracy of deliverables
  • Support, mentor and review the work a team of 4 staff
  • Working closely with the partner to develop opportunities for new and existing services
  • Undertake business development activities to promote the firm and its service
Skills and experienced required:
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in Business Services / Tax
  • Experience managing staff and WIP
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • A desire to provide advice that is technically correct and commercially focused
  • Strong technical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and clear ability to easily build rapport
  • Experience grooming and coaching a supportive team of professionals
  • Strong research and business development skills
  • Demonstrated self-starter
