Digital health can make a real difference to people’s health by giving them greater control and better access to information. Tasked with improving health outcomes for Australians through the delivery of digital healthcare systems and the national digital health strategy for Australia, the Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) commenced operations on 1 July 2016. The Agency is responsible for national digital health services and systems, with a focus on engagement, innovation and clinical quality and safety. Our focus is on putting data and technology safely to work for patients, consumers and the healthcare professionals who look after them.
 
Description

The General Manager Communications and Community Engagement is responsible for the strategic marketing, communication and community engagement that underpins the Digital Health Strategy and framework for action. The role will act as a pivotal change agent - educating and guiding on the adoption of digital innovation within the Health sector. Leading an outstanding team of professionals across digital, media, content production and analytics the position will contribute actively to the Senior Leadership team within the Agency. A critical component of success is centred around the engagement of multiple audiences including consumers, health care providers and government at both a State and Federal level. Furthermore, the role is responsible for consumer engagement and research which leads to the enhancement of the consumer experience.
 
Profile

With a strong background in marketing and communications, the successful applicant will be operating already at a senior level. Leadership and motivation of a large team of professionals is also a key attribute. You will display a strong understanding of communication delivery and how to leverage appropriate channels, including creative development, production, research, digital and social. Furthermore, you will be able to demonstrate a track record of driving strategic outcomes underpinned by a change and transformation agenda. This is a pivotal role with the opportunity to contribute to the transformation of Health through Digital innovation in Australia.
 
The successful candidate will be required to obtain or currently hold a baseline security clearance.
