Our client are the largest importer and distributor of well known brands in the cheese and meat sector, with a global presence and currently experiencing huge growth in the Australian market.  

 

The role of the Inventory Controller is responsible for inventory management and accuracy, to ensure costs are minimized whilst warranting appropriate stock levels, positioning and quality to meet customer demands. The Inventory controller will play a key role in ensuring that data integrity is of the highest standard in order to support the rest of operations.  

  Responsibilities
  • Perform duties as Inventory Store person
  • Ensure that KPIs and inventory accuracy targets are achieved
  • Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved
  • Supports supervisor in the day to day running of area
  • Maintains master data, stock profiles, stock locations, etc
  • Manages, performs & reconciles cycle counting
  • Supports in preparing and running planned stock takes
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of stock management system
  • Manages the non-conformance register & actioning non conforming product
  • Manages the quarantine & returns process
  • Supports in the management of pallet control
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and other records as required
  • Supports supervisor in creating, updating and implementation of inventory, quarantine and quality related SOPs

Profile 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role and operating environment
  • Experience in inventory/stock control
  • Experience utilizing WMS (Warehouse Management System)
  • Experience in OHS environment
  • Experience utilising MS Office
