Client Details

This high profile, rapidly growing national law firm with beautiful offices in the heart of Melbourne’s bustling CBD, are seeking an experienced Accountant to join the national Finance team. Reporting into the Finance Manager and working alongside the established, high performing team, you will draw on your previous experience within a similar role to effectively manage your broad duties across management and financial accounting.  

  • Preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations and reports
  • Preparation and review of quarterly reports
  • Working with other accountants to prepare annual financial statements and supporting work-papers/reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation and reporting of the annual FY budget
  • Preparation and assist with the review of the monthly updates to the FY budget (e.g. forecasting)
  • Responsible for updating monthly profitability model
  • Assist the Finance Manager with daily cash flow management
  • General Ledger maintenance
  • Prepare business modelling (as required) in consultation with Finance Manager and Director - Finance

  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant Accounting/Finance related discipline
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a Professional Services environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience creating and working with financial models and management reporting
  • A confident and articulate communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well-developed problem solving skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
