Our client is a major Australian Law firm with a strong Projects and Construction practice. Due to growth a new role has been created for a construction lawyer with 1-3 years PQE to join their friendly, close knit team.
In this front and back end role you will advise a varied client base including large corporates, major engineering firms, contractors and government entities. You will be involved in drafting and negotiating a range of construction & project contracts including EPC, EPCM, D&C and ECI as well as procurement matters. You will also work on construction disputes including claims management and arbitrations. You will work with approachable partners and have regular client contact.
This role would suit either a construction/projects lawyer or a commercial lawyer with some experience in construction who is looking to specialise. The ideal candidate has solid academics, excellent drafting skills and a good understanding of the commercial aspects of construction and infrastructure projects. You are motivated, energetic and enjoy building relationships with clients and providing solution focused advice.
Please note that you require at least one full year of post admission experience to apply for this role.
