You will work in a collegiate team environment with partners who have excellent reputations as being leading individuals in the area of taxation. This is a broad tax role where you will have the opportunity to advise blue chip clients on corporate and international tax, across a wide variety of matters including banking and finance transactions, mergers & acquisitions, property, projects and IT/Telco matters. You will also work on tax disputes/ controversy matters. More specifically, your role will include drafting letters of advice, applications for tax rulings, drafting agreements and briefs to Counsel. You will also be involved in various business development activities.
With 1-4 years’ experience in corporate, indirect, tax controversy and/or international tax, you have a law degree with a strong academic transcript. Your experience may have been gained in a law firm environment or alternatively in a large accounting firm or government. Candidates with at least 1 year of experience in tax law who are not yet admitted to practice are welcome to apply.
To be successful in this role, you must have strong technical drafting skills, a genuine interest in progressing your career as a tax lawyer and enjoy client contact.
