Happy International Day of Families.

Families come in all shapes and sizes and whilst this has changed over the years, the family is still recognised as a basic unit of society by the UN and for us at FutureYou, it’s recognised as a fundamentally and formative part of identities, so we like to commemorate it.

This year we’d like to take the opportunity to acknowledge every mum and dad, grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, guardian, carer, brother, sister, the in-laws (and the out-laws), and all the dog, cat, turtle and myriad of pet owners amongst us, whose love and dedication to their wards have shaped what the modern family is today.

As purveyors of career options and professional direction, we look to our own and ask the smaller ones among us what they want to be when they grow up. We’re delighted to report that big dreams (and a steadfast belief multiple options) are alive and well. We may, however, have a few problems placing the aspiring caped crusaders. But, never say never.

Wishing you and yours love, comfort and growth for your family – whatever that looks like for you.

As an FYI, last year we honoured International Day of Families by bringing our kids into the office and let them run the show for a few hours.
